Its unusual for me to be into the hip hop scene, but when I came across Lecrae through a friend some years back I started liking this guy a lot! He is fully devoted to Christ in great ways, mainly for his awesome rapping skills. He also has his own 8 day devotional you should check out on the YouVersion Bible app.

When browsing the web a few months ago I came across a tweet announcing that Lecrae would be doing a one off show in Manchester, UK. I was quite excited and did not want to miss the opportunity to see this guy! I got in touch with a friend who also is a fan of his, and we pretty much decided we would be going so I booked tickets right away.

When we arrived at HMV Ritz, in Manchester the queue to get inside was huge! I wasn’t expecting him to have such a big fanbase over here with him being a Christian rapper…. People came from all over the country to see this show, it was great to see so many Christians coming together and having a good time praising God.

The venue itself was very nice with plenty of room inside, we decided to take our place on the balcony so we would have a great view looking down on the crowd beneath us and a nice view of the stage. When Lecrae came on stage the crowd went wild, i think everyone in the building was bouncing at this point. It was just amazing!

Overall it was a great night of fellowship, I really do hope he returns to the UK again sometime. We don’t really get many great Christian bands come over here, we need it!
